Chile’s pioneering cannabis fair has been rescheduled for Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 January 2027 at Parque O’Higgins in Santiago. What happens to tickets already purchased, how much it costs to attend and what to expect.

Expoweed describes itself as the first cannabis fair in Chile and Latin America, and it has been drawing crowds to Parque O’Higgins for more than a decade. The edition originally planned for 2026 has moved to January 2027. If you already have a ticket, you do not need to do anything: it remains valid. Here are the new dates, prices, confirmed line-up and practical details.
Expoweed changes dates: what happened?
On 23 October 2026, the organisers announced that Expoweed was moving to 9 and 10 January 2027. They attributed the change to a difficult economic, political and social situation, both nationally and internationally, with a profound effect on the cannabis industry.
The key points for existing ticket holders:
- Tickets already purchased remain valid for the new dates.
- If you cannot attend in January, you can request a refund by emailing contacto@goldenpass.cl.
- All the artists already announced remain confirmed, with seven more still to be revealed.
Expoweed 2027 tickets and prices
Tickets are sold only through Goldenpass, the official ticketing provider. These are the prices for the first presale, which the organisers describe as preliminary and subject to confirmation. They include the service fee. The euro amounts are approximate, using the exchange rate on 30 October 2026 (€1 = CLP 1,113):
- General admission, one day: CLP 25,300 (approximately €22.70).
- General admission, two days: CLP 43,700 (approximately €39.30).
- Club Early Prendidos (only for people who bought in the 2025 presale): CLP 20,700 for one day (approximately €18.60) and CLP 36,800 for two days (approximately €33.10).
All tickets include a gift pack: a commemorative cup and an Expoweed collectible seed. Every attendee needs a ticket, regardless of age.
What is at Expoweed?
The fair has four areas: cultivation brands (collectible seeds, nutrients and lighting), paraphernalia, independent businesses and cannabis art. These are accompanied by:
- A medicinal zone, with a free consultation service staffed by medicinal cannabis specialists, talks, and legal and medical guidance. Appointments are requested through a form and require a ticket; spaces are limited, with priority given to people with cancer, those with reduced mobility and older adults.
- Talks and workshops on cultivation, health, innovation and activism.
- Art and culture: music, visual art, design, illustration and photography.
- Live music. The official line-up includes Gepe, Los Tetas, Jonas Sanche, Sativanderground and Mauricio Redoles, among others.
- Food trucks and hydration points inside the venue.
Collectible seeds, cultivation supplies, paraphernalia and hemp derivatives are available for purchase. Selling cannabis flowers is not permitted by law.
Getting to Parque O’Higgins
By metro. The Parque O’Higgins station on Line 2, between Toesca and Rondizzoni, is beside the park. The organisers recommend this option because of the expected crowds.
By bus. Routes including the 506, 506e, 509 and 510 pass the northern side of the park and stop at (M) Parque O’Higgins. This information dates from 2023: check it before travelling.
The organisers will publish the exact entrance within the park and parking information in the weeks before the fair. The park has accessible entrances and adapted areas.
More than ten years of Expoweed
The first Expoweed took place on 30 November and 1 December 2013 at Parque O’Higgins. According to El Mostrador, it attracted more than 20,000 people over two days and sold out. The team behind the Spanish magazine Cáñamo participated as partners in that first edition.
Since then, performers including Ky-Mani Marley, Los Jaivas, Chancho en Piedra, Mala Rodríguez, Ana Tijoux and Natiruts have appeared on its stage, while speakers have included Antonio Escohotado and Marc Emery. An expanded edition took place at Parque FISA in 2023. The tenth edition returned to Parque O’Higgins in November 2025, and the January 2027 event is the 11th.
Visitor rules and Chilean law
- No outside food or drinks. Food trucks and hydration points are available inside.
- Age restrictions. The official website contains conflicting information: its information page says “18+”, while its frequently asked questions describe an event for all ages. If you plan to bring minors, confirm the rules with the organisers first.
- Chilean law. Article 50 of Law 20.000 penalises drug use in public places or places open to the public with fines of 1–10 UTM, unless it is part of medical treatment. The fair’s legal status does not change that rule outside it.
