If you work in cannabis or hemp and want to see in one place where the US industry is heading, MJBizCon is the show. It runs four days in Las Vegas, with more than 800 exhibitors announced and a conference built around five tracks. It is not open to the general public, so work out which pass you need and how the week is laid out before you book your flight.

What is MJBizCon?

MJBizCon (the Marijuana Business Conference & Expo) is the cannabis industry's flagship B2B event in the United States. MJBiz was founded in 2011 by Cassandra Farrington and Anne Holland, and its first conference, in Denver, drew about 400 professionals. The first exhibit hall opened in 2012. In January 2022, Emerald bought MJBiz for $120 million up front; today the official website is run by Emerald X.

The 2026 show is the 15th annual edition. For a sense of scale: the 2024 show brought together 1,400 exhibitors and 30,000 attendees, according to BizBash, and in 2025 the organizers reported more than 20,000 attendees and over 1,000 exhibitors. For 2026, the official website lists 800+ exhibitors and 200+ speakers. BizBash also reports that 40% to 45% of attendees are first-timers each year and 72% hold VP-level roles or higher.

Getting to the Las Vegas Convention Center

By monorail. The most direct option from Strip hotels. Get off at Boingo Station at Las Vegas Convention Center, by Paradise Rd. The line has seven stations (SAHARA, Westgate, LVCC, Harrah's & The LINQ, Flamingo & Caesars Palace, Horseshoe/Paris and MGM Grand), 2 to 4 minutes apart. During the show it runs extended hours: 7 a.m. to midnight on several days, and until 1 a.m. on December 3.

Monorail fares (online / at the station):

  • Single ride: $5.75 / $6.25.
  • 24-hour pass: $13.95 / $15.50.
  • 2-day pass: $24.45 / $27.
  • 3-day pass: $30.85 / $33.
  • 4-day pass: $38.10 / $40.

Getting around the campus. The Vegas Loop, about 2 miles of tunnels with Tesla electric vehicles and five stations on the LVCC campus, is free for trips between halls.

By bus. RTC route 108 (Paradise) links Harry Reid airport (Terminal 1) with the Bonneville Transit Center downtown along Paradise Rd. The airport is about 3 miles from the venue. The organizers warn that parking at the LVCC is not guaranteed and recommend arriving early.

Nevada cannabis laws: what not to do

In Nevada, adults 21 and over can buy, possess and consume cannabis, but not in public: that includes the street, casinos and hotel rooms. Using cannabis in a public place, in a dispensary or in a vehicle is a misdemeanor with a fine of up to $600. Licensed consumption lounges are the exception.

To buy, you need a government-issued photo ID showing you are 21+; a US passport is among the accepted documents. The possession limit is 2.5 ounces of non-concentrated cannabis or 1/4 ounce of concentrate. In consumption lounges, you consume on site, no alcohol is sold or allowed, and you can't take leftover product home. A cannabis trade show doesn't change any of this: the same rules apply inside the venue.
